HELSINKI AIRPORT
The Helsinki- Vantaa Airport (HEL) has two main terminals which are linked by an internal walkway. It is located19 kms north of the city of Helsinki.
Facilities available include two banks, several money changing desks, plenty of restaurant and cafe options, including a 24 hour fast food shop. Duty free shopping is well taken care of, plus there is a pharmacy, travel agencies and great child-minding services.
Getting to the Airport from Helsinki
By Car and Taxi
Take Tuusula Road (now highway 45) and follow the signs to the Helsinki airport. If you're coming from the west you can take the E18 and from the West, Hwy 50.
Taxi ranks are available outside both terminals (International and Domestic) and the journey to the city centre is about 30 minutes at a cost of approximately 30 euros.
By Bus
Take the YTV bus to Helsinki City Centre. These depart outside both terminals and the journey takes around 40 minutes. Or take the Airport Bus Routes 615 and 61.
